BUDAPEST IS HISTORIC Tour
There is simply no better place for a friendly chat like a beautiful square filled with wonderful odors, atmospheric music, with a great company and mulled wine in hand. The unique advent atmosphere can not only be experienced at Vorosmarty square and the square in front of the Basilica but there are multiple little fairs scattered all across the city which are a great visit. But everything aside these 2 places mentioned above are truly the most famous and visited during this time period. There are a plethora of artisan products to choose from for your friends, as a gift or possibly for christmas decoration. If you are looking for something unique you are in the right place. These items are mainly made in Hungary and are local.
You can also find high standard cultural activities for all ages. Here you can find entertainment for all generations. The stage hosts folk music, jazz, crossover, alternative, blues and soul concerts. For the kids there is a puppet-show and musicals, while for the more productive there are craft playhouses. Original local cuisine is present for these 2 months mainly for visitors, but don’t worry the locals can find some specialties in on of the tents to ease their hunger. Just to list a few staple foods: goulash, hash browns, sausages, “kürtöskalács”, fried hazelnut, marzipan, strudel, “bejgli” and the list goes on.
As for me the fired hazelnuts and a glass of mulled wine is the perfect scenario for a meeting with an old friend. The festive preparation is not complete without the time we spend we spend with our dearest, and this place is perfect for it. If you are a tourist, I can more than happily show you around and try every treat with you (if you happen to arrive during this time period). If you would like to visit other smaller festivals that is great as well. Naturally I have tons of ideas where to go or what to visit for a great weekend, so contact me without hesitation.
Don’t forget Budapest is tasty and now it’s more true than ever!
