BUDAPEST IS HISTORIC Tour
All year round with heavy emphasis on the summertime we hold so many festivals, almost too many trust me when I say it's hard to even keep track of them. We're talking street food, gourmet, crafts beer, wine, palinka to cater for your digestive system whilst having superb music festivals like: Volt, Balaton Sound, Sziget to only mention a few. The festive nature is imbedded into the hungarian tradition so you will be spoiled with choices during your stay. Don't worry since these are not only loud and party heavy festivals, you can find plethora of choices for all age demographics. In Budapest most of them are located in the castle district and the Buda castle with something interesting going on almost every week!
Personally my favorite has to be the Busójárás meaning "Busó-walking"; it is an annual celebration in the town of Mohács, held at the end of the Carnival season ("Farsang"), ending the day before Ash Wednesday. The celebration features the famous Busós (people wearing traditional masks) and includes folk music, masquerading, parades and dancing. Busójárás lasts six days, usually during February.
