BUDAPEST IS HISTORIC Tour
All year round we hold so many festivals, almost too many trust me when I say it's hard to even keep track of them. The festive nature is imbedded into the hungarian tradition so you will be spoiled with choices during your stay. Personally my favorite fastival in Hungary has to be the Busójárás meaning "Busó-walking"; it is an annual celebration in the town of Mohács, held at the end of the Carnival season ("Farsang"), ending the day before Ash Wednesday. The celebration features the famous Busós (people wearing traditional scary masks). The history of the Buso festival goes back to the Ottoman occupation of Hungary. According to the legend the inhabitants of Mohacs are frighted the Turks away with scary masks and with a big noise. Children were wearing masks as well and I have know ide how does it came because the masks are really heavy.
Nowdays the Buso Festival is one of the biggest carnival in Hungary. Buso Festival is not just about the scary mask and lets throw away the witner. As all the festivals in Hungary this festival also includes folk music, masquerading, parades and dancing. Offering the abundance of excellent street food, fine cuisine, traditional foods and a huge range of alcoholic beverages to accompany your meal. Despite of the cold weather with this six-days Buso Festival you can spend an amazing time with friends or with children this is the festival what everybody will love I am sure. It is about 2 hours driving form Budapest so we can organise a 1 day trip if you do not want to stay longer.
