BUDAPEST IS HISTORIC Tour
The building itself was originally opened in 1894 as the Hungarian offices of the New York Life Insurance Company. The New York Café (New York Kávéház) was the most beautiful coffee house in Budapest and in this Renaissance-style place has been the scene of many a literary gathering. After World War II, the cafe reopened in 1954 under the name Hungaria but the New York Café was restored to its original splendor by Boscolo Hotels‘ the Italian hotel chain. The world famous New York Café Budapest (New York Kávéház) is located on the ground floor in the five star luxury hotel called New York Palace Boscolo Hotel. The café, along with a restaurant now part of the hotel.
This is like no other cafe this is the most beautiful one so everyone’s must see list when they visit to Budapest. :)
Nothing can be better to start the day than a great place for breakfast and this amazing cafe is perfect for this. Between these walls you can really feel the difference of the average and luxurious life. You should come here and feel like a king. Today it’s filled mostly with tourists. Sometimes they are just coming to look around in the rooms. Come here and take your time have a cup of coffee or choose something from the menu recalls the multicultural cuisine of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy. Classic dishes like Beef Goulash, or Leg Paprikash-style, or you can just order some from the famous hungarian desserts such as Dobos, Sacher and Eszterházy cake. The last one is my favorite anyway.
Step back in time and feel like an Aristocrat!
